Aloha nui e nā makamaka,
An extraordinary time indeed we are all living through. Keep loved ones close, stay diligent, aloha kekahi i kekahi and be healthy. Be there for one another in ways that you haven’t before; humanity is requiring us to rise and we must heed the kāhea.
All of our Ala Kukui programs revolve around gathering, it is indeed where we find our strength, however due to COVID-19 and the federal and state mandates, we are suspending all of our programming until conditions are more favorable to gather in small and large ways. Noenoe Nights, Hāna Kū, Maka Kilo, Mele & Moʻolelo, and Hālau o Nakaulakuhikuhi have all been put on hold for the safety and health of our participants, ʻohana and kaiāulu.
In the meantime, know that Ala Kukui is here for community in what ever capacity is needed and can be fulfilled, just reach out. We look forward to coming together again in body and spirit and celebrating the richness and beauty of humanity, culture and environment. E ola loa kākou ē!
